Hi. I came home from work today to find my male honduran red point on the bottom of the tank upside down. His belly seems really swollen! He also has a few nips on his fins. He can barely swim although seems to be breathing ok. I have now moved him to his own tank and added some salt? Is this ok? I've never had this problem before. Ok so the water in the tank is fine. Temp is fine. All other fish are fine. Haven't seen him too much lately as the female has just spawned and he has been in the cave protecting the entrance. There are other cichlids in the tank with them who are probably responsible for the damage to his fins. O and I feed him a mix of cichlid gold sinking pellet flake and frozen bloodworm and brineshrimp. Any ideas on what has happened and how to save him please?
Thanks in advance Damien
