hi i currently have a rio 400 and iam wanting to set it up for frontosa i dont know if i should use sand or gravel also wot should i use a decor ie pots or slate or a bit of both also i have t5s dont know wot bulbs they are so wots bulbs would be best. i have a fluval fx5 and 2 power heads is my filtration ok any help gratefully taken on board :thumb:

i have a front setup right now. i use pool filter sand and clay pots in my tank. as for lights, fronts are deep water fish and like dimmer lights than most fish. i have found that with bright lights my fronts hide more and seem more stressed out. as far as filtration i think you will be ok.

I like sand... less chance for the fish to pick up and tumble (gravel) with eggs.
I would stay away from slate. Slate can give nasty cut.

I like T5 1 10000k/ 1 actinic...
