Hello! I am new to the Cichlid world (about 3 months). I have bought several juveniles both from Petsmart and the LFS. I have one in particular that I bought at the LFS which is unidentified. When I picked it out, the coloring was dark black almost. When I got home, and it had been in the tank for a while, coloring became almost blue with orange or yellow undertones. I've gone back twice to the LFS in attempts at identifying and all three times have been given a different response. Does anyone recognize this guy?

He is a Labeotropheus type Mbuna from Malawi. Like Labeotropheus fuelliborni or Labeotropheus trewavasae.

Not the best pic but maybe you can see it. These are labeotropheus fuelleborni we raise. The blue barred males start out kind of dark blue-grey in color and get lighter blue as they mature. These are about 2" long. The lighter one is the most dominate in the tank. You can see another one under him that shows the darker color. Hope this helps.
