So in my 55 gallon I have a group of Cynotilapia afra Cobue's. As for now they are on the chopping block.

The problem is I can't decide what to replace with. I have 3 options.

Possible swaps
Cyno Afra Nkhata bay F1 trio
Cyno Afra Hai reef F1
Wild Trio of Cynotilapia Afra Axelrodi Nkhata Bay

The Hai reef I have 2 sources to get them from so most likely would take a male or 2 from one group and females from the other.

All are around the same price range except the WC being more.

Just can't choose :drooling:

Any Ideas???

First off, the Cyno. afra axelrodi Nkhata Bay are Cynotilapia axelrodi Nkhata Bay (no afra). :thumb:

Secondly, why would you get a male from one source, and females from another? If it's a fear of inbreeding - that's the wrong reason to do it - especially since they are F1.

Thirdly, I would probably go with the Cyno. afra Nkhata Bay. They have a nice yellow blaze and, from what I've heard, relatively mild tempered. The Cyno. axelrodi can be a bit more aggressive. I would also go with either of the F1 species simply because you can watch the fish grow - that is something I prefer to do. Buying adults just doesn't seem to be as exciting - and you don't have all that time and money put into them versus the younger stock.

Opps typo. I got the Cyno afra axelrodi Nkhata Bay trio
I think you missed what I meant - or else its another typo.

There is no Cyno. afra axelrodi species. There's the Cynotilapia axelrodi and Cynotilapia afra.
Wow woops 2 typo's lol Maybe third times the charm. Cynotilapia afra "Nkhata Bay" lol
