I recently bought a pair of fish I was told were Haplochromis Hinderi, now all I can find when I google it is Red Empress. Is this the same fish? They are a young pair and the male is just starting to colour up, so I am none the wiser.

This is listed as a common name for Protomelas taeniolatus a.k.a. red empress. They are not likely to do well as a pair, are you able to get more females?
