I came home tonight and found my Green Texas in bad shape. This is the first fight I've had in a year. I moved the Texas to my hospital tank but he is missing the majority of his tail and his left fin. I'm faced with a tough decision: should I euthanize him or let him struggle and hope he gets better? Any responses are welcome.

Fins and tails can grow back given clean water and less stress. The best thing you can do is to give him some shelter in the hospital tank, keep the lights off, and do frequent water changes. As long as his wounds do not become infected, he has a good chance of recovery. You may want to check out Melafix- it may help aid healing and prevent infection.
