Hi all, first post here. I've been in the hobby for 7-8 years now but I took my setup apart for a year and just got back into few weeks ago. I just set up my 75 gallon, waited few weeks for the nitrogen cycle, checked water parameters everything is perfect in the tank. I have a sun sun 304b and an AC 110 running on it.

I picked up a green terror today his colour and personality look amazing considering he's only been in the tank a few hours. He is the only fish in the tank and that's how I'm planning to keep things.

A few hours after he'd settled in, I noticed some kind of indentation on his head on one side and I'm worried that it's HITH. I don't know if the person I picked the GT up from knew about it or not.

THIS SIDE looks fine

THIS SIDE has the problem

If this is HITH, what can I do about it?

Hello, and welcome to Cichlid-forum!
Your Green Terror does not look like he has HITH. I'm not sure what the indentation actually is, but it does not look like HITH. It may be nothing, but do keep an eye on it. If it opens up to form an actual pit area, then you will definitely be dealing with HITH.
Treating HITH, consists of mostly just ensuring water quality in the aquarium is kept high. Keep foam media in filtration equipment clean. Drive those Nitrate levels down in the water to a measured level below 10 ppm. Conducting more frequent, higher percentage water changes can sometimes work wonders to treat ailing, New World Cichlids. Non-Iodized salt is often added to the water, as it helps in controlling a number of possible problems. Provide plenty of varied sources, of high-quality food to boost up immune systems. In serious cases of HITH, antibiotics are used to treat opportunistic infections that can sometimes arise.
And that is about it. And is hopefully something you will not be doing with your new Green Terror. :)
