When gobies form pairs, is there typically any aggression between the two, or are they more like best buds?

I thought I had a pair, but now the male is becoming aggressive towards the female, so I was just wondering whether or not this is typical pair behavior, or if I needed to add some more females to create a new pair.

Depends  I know, just what you wanted to hear

Every pair acts a bit different. I would say add more to be safe though.
lol. Thanks Sarah!

Guess I'll get one or two more females. If a new pair forms, how much of a threat is the paired female to the unpaired females?

I actually have 1 male and 3 females in a 75 with a 48" footprint. They all get along with each other more or less and the male breeds with all 3 females, but refuses to do his share of the work :p
