One of the smallest Geophagines, G. taeniopareius is only rarely imported. It has good agility and is a active swimmer. It has a yellow ground color and a stripe on the cheek that pass through the eye. Even though taeniopareius likes soft water, it easily adapts to harder water with a higher pH and can raise fry in these conditions.
