Comments:
Differs from G. brasiliensis because of slighty more deloped lips, a longer sloping head and red coloration in the operculum. Males grow larger than females. It is unclear if G. sp. "Bahia Red" is actually just a variant of brasiliensis. See G. brasiliensis for more information.
