Yes, I purchased her from a reputable online store but...
1. Her bodyshape tells me she is fulleborni. Other travasewe I have seen are longer and more slender.
2. Other fish I purchased from same dealer were sexed incorrectly.
3. After I purchased the dealers last 5 red top travasewe, 3 days later his stock list went back up to 5.
It could very well be a red top but I have doubts. With new fry on the way I was hoping to get a positive I'D, since I don't want to be the guy trading mislabeled fish.
Without prior knowledge of what the fish was labeled as - I would guess Fuelleborni. But I wouldn't rule out that it is a slightly pudgy Trewavasae. The lighter colored fish in the second picture...is that one of the other female Trewavasae?
This is a tough call and I wish I had a definite answer for you.
Maybe you can ask the retailer for some pictures of their females from each species?
