I see 2 of my fryeri trying to spawn, but a male auratus keeps breaking them up. And It doesnt look like hes going to let them spawn anytime soon.

If I move the pair to a 5 gallon bucket with airstone and rocks, would the two spawn? or will it be better to remove the male auratus to the bucket and see what happens?

your thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

I think anytime the word "auratus" is in a post the advice is to remove it, LOL!

Thanks,

I think it will be better if I catch the auratus. But in any case, if I did have the two in the bucket, would a sucessful spawn occur?

Thanks,

Its frustrating when you think your going to witness a spawn, then the auratus comes in and spoils everything. Hes spawned with an auratus female 3 times, you think hed let somebody else do their thing?
