dudes & dudettes... I was doing some cleaning up, and started thinking if I could keep some of these snails with my fronts.... but i've got 2 questions:

1- will they be eaten by my fronts, evethough they are aprox 1.5 inch in diameter?

2- will my front's breeding be jeopardized?

thanks!!!

PD.: i hate algae..... at least the one growing in my tank! :x

are you dealing with brown diatom build up? or are you experiencing green grass/hair types?

You can also try to control the algae with reduced lights, and the types and amount of food and waste in the tank.. Years ago there where several great articles posted on this site about doing just that. Maybe do a search here and see if they are still here.
I also use adult BN plecos in my tank... ..

The brown diatom build up usually goes away as the tank /conditions age,... I think. It's unsightly & stinks to high heaven, but I've always been able to rub it away & wait it out & it's really easy to wipe off.

I've had a bristlenosed pleco for the green algae & it work out pretty well, but I just fellt bad b/c the pleco HAD TO HAVE a pretty dreary existence,...so what I've been able to do, FOR THE MOST PART, is take the light down & help assist with the problem to an acceptable level.

I've never even thought about using a snail, b/c Fronts would eat them & I think b/c I use salt in my tank.
