Frontosa Juveniles with Breeding Group Okay?

1805 Views 6 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  punman
My mpimbwe Frontosa WC breeding group of five are 6-12 inches in length. I have four juveniles 4 inches long in a grow out tank with other fish. Are the offspring big enough to put in with their parents in a 135 gallon tank?

They should be fine. My colony of Burundi had a spawn of six fry last year. I never even removed the six 1/4" long fry from the tank, yet four of them survived living with six full grown fronts between 9"-12" and are now 5" themselves. I've found with my fronts at least as long as they are feed well they don't bother any smaller fish in the tank.
