Hey guys,

Yesterday a friend gave me a freshwater crab around the 3cm size with his big claw bound up(i think its a male australian fiddler crab). Was thinking of putting him in with my 4x orange head geo's and 3x A.heckelii in a 39 gallon. Will i have any problems with the crab eating or giving my fish a hard time? Apparently he munched the stalks on my friends small leaved plants, hence the reason for giving him away. Will he eat my amazon words? Has anyone had any previous experience with them?

Thanks,

Alex

G'day alex250,

I have two concerns.

First, the crab may pose a threat to the fish when they are sleeping.

Second, the size of your tank. What are the dimensions? Unless the fish are all under 3 inches TL and this is a grow out tank, I think you need to get your fish a larger tank.
