So my sister checked freecycle this morning, and someone had listed a "medium sized fish tank with 4 large goldfish and 5 black fish". Filters, lights, everything included. So we went to pick it up. Turns out it's a 36 gallon bowfront tank, with stand. Dirty, but in great condition. The previous tenants moved out and left it, so the apartment manager listed it for free :thumb: .

The fish are 4 large comets, about 5 or 6 inches long each, and 5 male convicts. We've got a friend with a pond, we're gonna see if she wants the goldfish. Everyone gets along fine, but it's way overstocked! I have a 20 gallon high, and I was going to take one of the cons, but could I put 2 in there? Will they get along? They're 2 - 2 1/2 inches right now.

Could my sister keep 3 or 4 male cons in the 36 gallon?

Or will males always fight? They don't now, but there are no females, and they're fairly young.

Convicts fight. I'd take them to your local fish store and trade them in for store credit, and get something appropriate for your 20G high.

3 male cons in a 36G might be okay, but what else is in there?
