Just wondering what all you guys feed your Cichlids?

I like to make up a mixture of peas, cucumber, and lettuce, pressing it down into a pastey pate, they love it! I also feed them Nishi-Aquaria 'Cichlid Diet' now that they're big enough that is.

I'm not sure if its the food I fed them, but spawning kicked in within a few feeds of this 'Earthworm Plus Flake' and 'Beef Heart Flake' that I got from the internet, they go totally nuts for it!

I feed mine the NLS (New Life Spectrum) Cichlid formula pellets and Ocean Nutrition flakes. The NLS is very good for the coloring. I have seen a great improvement since feeding the pellets.

You should check about the beef heart flakes though. I am not sure if it is just the frozen food or both, but I have heard the beef heart is not good to feed.
