If you just bought it and it expired in 2007, I'd return it to the LFS and point it out to them.

I've recently bought some Ocean Deluxe Cichlid Mix online to try. It's all still vacuum sealed, was about to open it when I saw the expiry date on it is September 2007. Is it still likely to be alright or should I go for a refund? It will probably take me about 8-9 months to use up.

Just emailed them. If they dispute it, I'll have to put in a claim with Paypal as I paid through them.
