Any input on this would be great I like the Rena, due to me needing to extend the hoses. The fluval has the textured hose which I cant find at lowes... I want to run the tubes up the sides of my 75 rather than up the back..here is pics of my setup under construction

The textured hoses are not as nice, and kinda of pain to try to work with and make nice.

Rena is how I would vote if that is the onyl thing I am voting on.

You dont need to use the ribbed hosing with your Fluval. Just figure out the diameter of it and go up to your local hardware store and pick up that diameter hose. I believe the store near me stocks both clear and like a smoke color. I believe the smoke color would inhibit algae growth in the tubes.

I have never owned a Rena, but I own 3 Fluvals. I love all 3 of them.
