I've never actually measured how much food I give them. I always pour the same amount of NLS pellets, (1mm size) into the container top and then I pour the food in--I go by sight.
But after reading your question I got up and poured the food into the container top and then I measured how much there was. Came out to a heaping half teaspoon of pellets.
I have seven near adult sized C. Moorii, 1 adult yellow lab, 3 near adult clown loaches and one bristlenose pleco in the tank. I feed them once a day.
I came up with this amount of food by only giving them as much as they can eat in less than a minute.
I think every tank is different. For instance if I used that rule for my goldfish tank it wouldn't work. They are not very quick on the draw and often spend hours sifting the substrate to find all of their food. If I only gave them as much as they could eat in less than a minute then it might be only a pellet or two. . .
