I went to the local fish store and got 5 fish

Ancistrus Temnicki ( Bushynose pleco) x1
Labidochromis Caer x2
Pseudotropheus Dem x1
Nimbochromis Venus x1

I got a huge huge hollow rock that has a whole bunch of holes and stuff.
Its a 25gallon tank
(24Lx21Hx12W)

An ideal tank for fish like your lab and demasoni would be 48" long.

If you want to see how long you can keep them in the 24" tank, you might try returning one of the labs since Malawi are not pairing fish.

In addition, the venustus is a 10" fish that is recommended to be kept in a 72" tank.

How big are they now?

Join a fish club in New Jersey and trade them for fish that will be a good fit for your tank. :thumb:

It happens all the time. LFS can be better than large chain stores, but. . . they're in the business to make money. . . :?

If they're juvies, the aggression level will increase close to sexual maturity--anywhere from 1.5-2". If they're mature already, it could be any day you wake up and one is dead or close to it. Watch for torn/nipped fins, and other signs (like one fish who is kept from eating by another or if one hangs out at top of tank or behind filter intake/heater).
