I have a group of juvenile African cichlids ranging in size from 1.5" to 2.5 ". I have a wet dry sump with a pump pushing around 600 to 700 gph and a fluval 407 with just foam and floss, with the return directed at the top for surface agitation. I also have a wave pump near the bottom that I turn on with a timer for an hour and a half a couple times a days to help sweep the bottom of the tank. I know this setup will be great for when they get fully grown but is it too mouth for the juveniles? Am I stressing them out with too much movement in the tank?
