Recently one of my zebras has what looks like a damaged eye. There is skin or a lyer of something coming off. Vision seems to be affected. It looks like maybe he damaged it on a rock or something. No pics sorry. Any ideas of what to do to help it heal? I was considering puting him into the hospital tank.

It sounds like cloudy eye, usually a direct result of poor water quality or an injury.

What are the water parameters on the tank?

Problems like this can lead to bacterial infection.

Do you have a hospital tank? If so, I would move him, and do daily water changes and add Melafix.

Should the fish start behaving abnormally - refusing food, reclusive behaviour, etc. - you may need to treat with antibiotics.

I would try the daily water changes and Melafix first.
