Smaller pellets can help, the big fish will still eat the small food, and the smallest can get some food while the big fish are occupied trying to grab the pellets.
I try and feed a combination of sizes so that it will appeal to all sizes of fish in my tank. The big guys tend to go after the bigger pieces while the small guys have a chance at getting the smaller pellets. Sinking pellets are good as some of my smaller fish are shy and will stay near the bottom to eat.
