I have a 75 gallon tank that is moderately/heavily stocked with just juvies in it now, I was planning on getting a canister for the tank I have two emperor 400s on right now. Which has better biological and mechanical filtration the 2217 or c360, considering I could care less about noise, the prices are the same, looks, and both companies have long lasting equipment. I am looking for a canister around $150. If you now any filters better than those two for a 75 for around 150 please share.

I have both and would favor the C360 because of its larger media capacity: 3.4 gallons vs. 6 liters (about 1.6 gallons) for the 2217. However, I would trust the reliability of the 2217 more since it is a tried and true product whereas the C360 is still fairly new.

Keep looking around on here I read a post of problems developing with the c360 filter know that its been in use for a while, people not happy with it. I prefer the Rena xp3 myself, cheap, easy to maintain, quiet, long lasting performance, never had a problem.
