I have an eheim 2028 and for some reason when ever (and I mean every time) i take it apart it takes me about an hour to get it back together without leaking!!! And even then sometimes when you prime it it leaks out the back side along where the tubes are. What in the name of heavens is going on with it because I am going to lose my mind!!! Has anyone had this problem??? Or know what the problem might be (besides the user :? )? thank you.

You might be pinching an o-ring when reassembling the filter. Try using some plumbers silicone lube on all the o-rings if you don't have any Eheim lube.

Can you see exactly where the water is leaking out?

Does it only leak when you push the primer button?

Does it also leak when you unplug the electrical cord when you get ready to service the filter?
