So, as my signature states, I have a mbuna tank with two synodontis and a few plecos. I was looking to add some sort of oddball fish to my tank. I settled on an eel or bichir because A. I love their wackyness and B. I have heard of them with mbunas. I was hoping to get people's opinions on this as I have had a poor experience with a ropefish in the past, who couldn't handle the stress. I really don't want to put a fish in there and have it be brutally mutilated. One thing I do want to say is that my largest and oldest mbuna just passed (swim in peace beorn), and he was by far the most aggressive fish in the tank. I also recently relocated, so the whole hierarchy of the tank is slightly out of wack, which might reduce aggression. Opinions? If neither of these fish would work, are there any other oddballs that would? I was thinking of a Senegal bichir or a Mastacembelus eel btw.
