we have some drift wood in our tank.
we clean it and do water changes and it looks fantastic and gets that cool "salt water" look.
but then maybe 4 or 5 days later its kind of greenish and looks more like a pond type tank. would the drift wood cause that?
we use the danici food so i dont think its the food out filter is for a tank about 2x the size of ours
so were a little like wtf?
anyone have words of wisdom or an idea on how to keep it looking clear and wonderful

Yes the piece of wood releases "tannins" and will continue to do so until its all been released. A way to speed this up is to soak them in a tub and dump boiling water into it, allow to soak, drain, repeat until water is clear. Also the tannins will lower your PH so depending on what fish you keep that could be good or bad. good luck
