Has anyone else had any problems with them??? *** ordered stuff in the past and it was all good. this time i ordered a 48" 10,000k and a 48" Actinic bulb. i ordered them may 13, the tenK bulb came like it should. The actinic was on backorder untill june 6. well yesterday i finally got my actinic, almost 20 days past the late date. i was pretty excited that i finally got it, and pulled it out of the big long bulb box, and as the last 3 inches of the bulb came out i wasn't so exctied any longer, the metal end cap was still in the box, along with some glass shards. :x

I believe this thread would be more appropriate as a comment in the reviews section.

But I would have to imagine that bulbs are a big risk when having the shipped to you. I think that is one item that I would go to a LFS for instead.

Inform them of the problem, and they will replace it for you. I've good experiences with their customer svc and also that of Petsolutions. I've have regular and T5 bulbs shipped on multiple occasions without incident. If they arrive damaged it's not your problem. The savings and selection make it worth the additional trouble vs. buying from the LFS.

Because we have a 'Reviews' section that includes opinions on retailers, we ask that you take advantage of this resource when possible. We feel that it is better for all who use the site to have a structured place to conduct reviews. Reviews on a discussion board quickly become buried and it is inevitable that your input will not be seen next time, or the time after that. This is not the case with the reviews section. In addition, it is easy to compare retailers and products there. Thank you for your consideration.
