Hello, I have a 29 that I plan to converting over from new world to mbuna, i was planning to do a yellow lab species tank or yellow labs with a small group (most likely 3-4) Gephyrochromis lawsi "nkhata bay" or Metriaclima lanisticola. Do you think it would work?

Any and all help is great!!!
Thanks, pumh

not at all

I had labs by themselves in a 29 for just a short while until I could sell them, and they looked miserable

you definitely can't do multiple species

it's not really an opinion that my labs were not happy in that small tank, but you're not going to find much advice that differs from mine, not good advice at least

30 inch tanks are tough to do, i have tried, and still am, and just have not found it to work out

the best beginer tank will always be either a 55 or 75 gallon

I would not do a 30" tank, I did not even like dwarf mbuna in my 36" tank. The only 29G I have heard of on the forums that has worked long-term is Fogelhund's. Search for his tank by owner in Your Tanks.
