So heres what I have going on.

I have a decorative urn. Over the last two days they have moved a large amount of rocks out of the corner near this urn. Now today it looks as though they are cleaning this urn with their mouths and then rubbing their bellies on them....

i looked at the urn and theres nothing visible on it so I dont know if they are prepping the area for spawn or what the deal is.

please advise, thanks

You don't but if the eggs stay beige\tan color then they are fertilized. Any eggs that turn white are not.

In a couple of days shine a flashlight onto the eggs, if there's a dark spot in the middle then they're good.

bumpin this in hopes to get my questions answered.

Its been over 24 hours only observed 3 milky white ones, most are yellow and about 10% are tan/beige.

Yellow or beige those should be fine. It takes about 3 days for them to hatch into wrigglers and another 3-4 days for them to become free swimming.

The unfertilized eggs turn white pretty quickly, they pop up each day until all the other eggs are hatched and then momma JD will clean up by eating the unhatched eggs.
