hello everyone,
I need your advise.
Currently i have 55gal tank which is almost done it's cycle. This weekend I'm picking up 20 demasonis from my fish dealer.
I want more different colours in the tank so I would like to know what other mbunas would be happy to live with demasoni's?
Thanks a lot

That would be alot of blue in the tank.

You really have room for only one more smaller breeding group, if you're adding 20 demasoni.

How about the snow white Ps. socolofi? They look great with demasoni.

Or, of course, the old stand by...Yellow labs...That's a combo that's hard to beat.

I have Yellow Labs with Demasoni - good contrast and compatability is good.

In my all male mbuna tank - I have a Demasoni and an Albino Scolofi - they don't bother each other and the albino scolofi is a cool looking fish and offers good contrast as well.

I think a group of Demasoni with different male mbuna would be a cool tank also.

I'm currently having great success with Demasoni, Yellow Labs (as mentioned), but also Yellow Tail Acei which are both blue and yellow so that's a nice mix with the Demas and Yellow Labs..and they also stay mostly in the upper half of the tank. The Demas don't seem to even notice them..so a few (not many) of them would be good. I also have 3 Yellow Blaze Afra that are coloring up nicely and are getting along great with the Demasoni so far. They are elusive and tend to stay to themselves and don't seem to conflict with the Demas,..they don't look similar but their colors go well together, so these guys might make a good 3rd choice.
