I have recently bought another tank and I am getting ready to do some re-organizing of my fish and the tanks.

My question is, Has anyone mixed Polits with Demasoni?
I have 3 Yellow Labs (1m & 2 F) that I was originally planning to put with the Dems( based on things I read here), but I think I would like the color of the Polits and Dems together.

The (10 Juvie)Dems are going into 55g, no matter what.
the question is who is going with them?

I was also thinking that they (Dems) are in a grow out tank with Julie Marlieri and Tropheus Dubusi( i know its mixed, but the guy I got them from had them all in the same tank) maybe I could just transfer this whole group to the 55g. any thoughts?

I think you'll be happier with the looks of the Yellow lab and demasoni combo.

I've had mixed results mixing two dwarf species in the past. My polit males didn't show their best colouration in a 55G with my demasoni. They still bred and I didn't suffer any losses, but it was frustrating to not have the males coloured up all the time.

You should also pick up some more demasoni for that tank size. I had 20 adults in my 55G. A group of 6-7 Yellow labs would set them off nicely.
