I have well water and I have not been using a dechlorinator, because I have no chlorine in my water. Is there any other reason I should be using one? If so what is the best kind to use?

I use it with my well water, I had a problem a while back with my water heater and a ruptured whole house filter. http://www.cichlid-forum.com/phpBB/view ... p?t=163446
It not only removes chlorine but some of the heavy metals and other nasties that may be in there.
right now I'm using Kordon's NovAqua+ http://www.novalek.com/kordon/novaqua+/index.htm
Amquel is also great. Or anything made by seachem

I'm on well water & still use the Prime conditioner. It turns the water hazy bluish the 1st day but the next day the wate is crystal clear.

Do you guys pre-mix your water in a bucket then add it to the tank???

I would use Prime, even if I did have well water. It not only removes chlorine and chloramines, but it also detoxifies ammonia.

quiksilver, not sure what you're asking, but I add my Prime to the first bucket of water to go back in the tank...

And I always dose my tank for the full amount rather than just the amount applicable to the water I am replacing. :thumb:
