3 pics, tried my best to get focused on the fin itself.

None of the other fish are showing any issues at all, so I suspect it's damage. I'm posting since it's the first time I've seen this on my Acei - though with the tank mates I'm not surprised.

Looks nearly identical to what my aceis had. Over the course of a few days it became much worse and I lost many of them.

I medicated the others in a Q tank.

Poor Acei, you need to get him on some Maracyn which is antibiotics and sold in most pet stores. It looks infected.
+1 - I treated my aceis with both Maracyn and Maracyn 2. I was afraid that it was columis (sp).

Any progression of the size of damaged area between yesterday and today? Sometimes it's tough to tell.
I'm thinking it's a bacterial or fungal-mediated rot. That isn't a usual place to observe nipped fins.

Looks about the same. I think I'll go with the advise of isolating and treating with Maracyn/II.

Thanks guys.

Treating with Maracyn Two, 1 didn't seem to apply to this situation.

Hopefully I'll remember to post back on this after 5 days or so. (I hate when I search for answers and only find unanswered questions!)
