I have a flowerhorn and red devil with a pair of" were" breeding convicts till the flowerhorn killed the male . They only had one surviving baby which is almost a inch now.
As aggressive as they are suppose to be with fry they could never really control the tank with him there.
Since introduced a smaller than her male,but she chases him around a bit. This male shows a lot braver attitude than the earlier male,and it will be interesting to see if these two can hit it off.
I think it depends on the temperment of what ever other cichlids you get because the convicts will try and take over. :thumb:
