I have a mixed tank:
- 15x Tropheus moorii "Sunspot" Katoto
- 6x Tropheus duboisi Halembe
- 1x Eretmodus cyanostictus Kasanga
- 5x Cyprichromis Leptosoma Utinta
- 6x Julidochromis marlieri

When I had a Mubuna tank, I'd give them a cucumber once a week or so. Can I do the same with the Tangs?

Well, the Tropheus and Eretmodus would definitely benefit from fresh green vegetables in their diet, and will eat enthusiastically once they recognize the veggies as food, which may take some time. The Cyps and Julies are unlikely to be interested. Personally, I prefer to feed my Tropheus leaves of fresh Romaine lettuce; you can tether one end under the edge of the aquarium top, allowing the Trophs to tear off bite-sized chunks, which they can then process with their pharyngeal teeth. I feed my Trophs Romaine lettuce 2-3x per week, and haven't had a case of 'bloat' in any of my colonies in decades. And it's really fun to watch the Trophs tear into the lettuce leaves; it's the herbivore quivalent of a feeding frenzy! It is true, however, that T. duboisi seem less interested in the fresh greens than any of the other Tropheus species. Good luck! =D>
