Hey,

Even after 50 percent water changes I still get little bits of dust/debris floating around the tank.
Any tips for crystal clear water..?

Direct your filter outputs/power heads, if you use them, to get your water to circulate to your filter pickups, and, I use 100% polyester fill (used for stuffing pillows) in my filters to "polish" the water. It works great and is cheap; you can get it at any Walmart in the crafts/fabric department.

Agree. Further, figure out what the debris is (plant detritus? Uneaten food particles? Substrate dust? Feces?) and solve the problem.

For me if I have 8X to 10X GPH filtration, I have clear water AND little weekly vacuuming to do. I do not use power heads.

Perhaps tank substrate is too thick, holding a lot of debris? I believe that a thorough substrate vac goes hand in hand with the regular water change. Also keep in mind that clear water doesnt necessarily mean clean water.
