Hello everyone,

I have a 40g 36x18x18 with current inhabitants being five bolivian rams. I am really wanting to get some cories but was wondering how many i should get. A max number would be five but I was thinking I would only be able to put three in. What should I do?

The more the merrier. Cories should be kept in shoals. I would say 5 should be the minimum. If it is an issue of space, look into some of the dwarf species, c. hastasus, c. habrosus, c. pygmasus or one of the smaller aspidoras species. You can really pack in the smaller guys.

+1 That tank should be capable of supporting your Bolivians and a shoal of ten or more of pretty much any species of cory, except maybe the largest ones like Brochis
