Hi, I was wanting to take some coral ravel from TANK(A) and put it in a media bag in an external filter for use in TANK(B),
TANK(A) has trumpet snails in it so there is a chance the eggs may be in the gravel, , , ,
If I pour some boiling water on the gravel will this destroy any eggs that may be there ?
After boiling will the ravel still hold any buffering capabilities I want from it ?
Any advice on this one appreciated, cheers , Sean

Boliling should do it, but I'd do more than just pour it over it. I'd soak it in the hot water for a bit. If it boils off any organics, it may actually buffer better afterward.
