Copadichromis are utaka, haps that typically feed on zooplankton, but C. taiwan yellow may steal eggs if chasing behavior of other cichlids is an indicator. Usually Copadichromis forage in groups, but C. taiwan yellow individuals have been observed alone. Males and females have yellow fins.
