Hey,

I have a new 4' tank and was thinking about putting 3 black calvus 3 white calvus and 3 gold head comps in there. Just wondering if this is ok or could I have more or less.

Thanks guys

I wouldn't because they can hybridize. I'd choose one type (black or white or comp) and put in six juvies. Once a pair forms, you can remove the others. Often the dominant male will not tolerate other males in "his" tank.

I had a WC breeding group of WC yellow calvus last year (filter failure killed em).

I had 2m 4 f, and no fights in a 65 gallon (36x18)

Lots of rockwork and barnacles was key.

I had five WC Kipili Comps 2m/3f and four WC Fire fin 2m/2f comps in a 7 foot tank and had no problems. they were not breeding so i moved them to smaller tanks by themselves. I was also worried of cross breeding.
