I've had any established tank for many years, water has always stayed very clear. I started adding new fish in early Dec. since then my water has become very cloudy(white). I have since added a new 2nd Ehiem filter,in late Dec. and still it stays cloudy. I've been doing 15-20 gal water changes once a week. One LFS said it was a bactieria bloom and to do lots of water changes. Another LFS said to cut back feeding, tried that a little but don't want fish to become to aggresive.
It's a 90 gal w/mixed cichlids.

What is the ammonia reading? Sometimes bacteria will bloom if there is a little extra ammonia.

Is the cloudiness white or green?

Test for ammonia, and if you have some, a bunch of water changes should help remove it.

I do not know if you have a filter or not, but if you do not think I get one. I have a betta fish and I have a filter that is amazing is super quiet and the brand name is Aqueon they come in different sizes and I would like to use natural spring water that you can get to groceries.
