I've been trying to find Clear Ammonia with only Ammonia and water in it. I've been trying to find Clear Ammonia like the type that was listed here in the Fishless Cycle post by Tim Craig.
All I can find that closely matches the description is this below.

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Great-Value- ... /642113336

It says it contains ammonium hydroxide and that it contains no phosphorus.

Is this the right stuff?

Go to Ace hardware and get their brand of janitorial ammonia.

Ammonia is NH3 - Ammonium Hydroxide is NH4OH - Broken Down it is simply NH3 + H2O (Ammonia and water). So Its just an aqueous form of ammonia. Pure ammonia is a gas, which you're not going to find, nor have use for. I found some in my local grocery store (Giant) in the aisle with cleaners etc. It said Clear Ammonia on the bottle. No ingredients listed, but I shook it and it didnt foam, and it didnt have color, so I figured it was safe to use based on what I've read.

Hope that helps.

Since no one has said not to use it, I'm going to go with the stuff linked in the first post.
We'll see how it goes.
ACE's says it contains 10% ammonium hydroxide and no phosphorus.

Shake the Walmart brand and see if it foams. Don't directly smell it but get a whiff and make sure there's no scent to it either.
