Eeek. I would stray from bleaching.

Vinegar and water will do the trick as good as anything else, and is much easier to wash out than bleach or other products.

My used 125 had been sitting outside for months and had never been washed or cleaned since they tore it down. So it had sand, water, and stains everywhere. A couple of days of scrubbing with vinegar and water - using newspaper as a lint-free drying material - got the job done.

Not everything will come off, but it will get close. :thumb:

Cleaning Aquariums With Bleach
On occasions where a complete cleaning of the aquarium is required, such as a change from saltwater to freshwater or after prolonged storage, the use of chlorine bleach can be very effective. A half gallon of bleach mixed with 20 gallons of water or more is great for sterilization and is perfectly safe for acrylic.
Off of Tenecor Aquarium's website. I have used it to clean glass aquariums with no ill effects.
