Alright i have a 60gal tank with 2 plecos.. one of whitch has growen to over a foot and a half the other is just over a foot.. Then i have three convict cichlids and 5 zebra's. Ever one HAS been getting along fine.
Untill i got my alpha female convicts a new cave. She is pretty territorial of it, so when one of the plecos gets to close to it she goes on a full out attk. this is no problem but what i have found is that now when doing so all the other cichlids join in and all start nipping at my poor pleco... The only one that doesnt is my Alpha male of my red zebras..
My plecos are starting to get stressed and are starting to show signs of fin rot mostly in there big beutiful dorsal fins. i have been treating them with all natural melafix with teatree for the rot and their wounds.
Will my plecos be okay? I am going to remove the new cave today whitch sould stop all convicts from being agressive since they never were bad with my plecos before.
And one more question... Would any one know why my alpha male zerba does not even look at my plecos but his smaller non alpha brother is always picking at them?
Thanks :fish:
