Common name for this fish are Synspilum, Quetzal cichlid, or some times Red head cichlid.
It's scientific name is Veija melanura. The name Veija synspilum is now considered to be a junior synonym. The common name of synspilum refers to a variant or type that is common in the hobby.
Your fish definitely has synspilum in it. Now whether it is pure, is rather difficult to determine. Particularly with a fish like sysnspillum, where each fish has it's own particular color and markings, it can be difficult to be sure whether the fish is hybrid or not. Veija hybrids are not uncommon. The fact that your fish seems to lack red coloration around the head area (in comparison to most synspilum), may or may not indicate it has other Veija in a mix.
