Does look like an apisto species, but couldn't tell you which species. Females are often much more drab than males so could be a female.

a couple days ago i got two free cichlids that look exactly the same from a lady but she didnt know what they were she said something like apisto so i thought they were apistogrammas but idk becuase they are gray and not colorful so here are some pics sorry they are blury there taken from my phone i only could get a shot of one but they are exactly the same so..

i have them set up in a ten gallon with a tetra whisper 10 and and aqueon 10 and a heater
tankmates- 9 ghost shrimp , 2 sword tails
any ideas guys
