Hmmmm....
I'd still go with the 'tried & true' I recommended earlier of putting a group of these together - then letting THEM work this thing out and form up a compatible pair for you.....
And, someone might be able to give you a positive gender ID for these Cichlids.
But, to me?
It looks a lot like you have two females.

First one is a young male Nannacara anomala, as females never get any iridescence on their body. Second one is a female, but the question is, female of what species? It looks a lot to me like N. aureocephalus female. I could be wrong, as this fish is extremely unhappy with the conditions. Both are unhappy with the substrate, as they need something a lot finer, like sand.
