Hello everyone, I’ve encountered an illness I haven’t yet seen before… my cichlids left eye has puffed up to over double its original size. Is this treatable? What caused it?

Could be an illness or an injury. Please post your test results (using reagents and test tubes) for pH, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate.

I agree looks like a possible injury that has progressed into a secondary infection. I would isolate the fish and treat for a bacterial infection and see how he/she is doing from there.

I would check water parameters as well
